Deze Corte cornikel [kroniek] van Cornelius van Hoorn (Utrecht, J. Berntsz, 1537) bestaat uit een lange dubbele tijdbalk met de geschiedenis van de wereld. Rond 1450 is de drukpers te zien. Dit handgekleurde exemplaar uit de KB is uniek (KW 150 A 1).

The text states: ‘Jo[hann]es Faust[us] heeft die pre[n]t begonnen te Mens. 1452’. [Approximately: Johannes Faust has started this prent in Mainz, 1452.]

Bibliopolis adds: ‘This concise world chronicle was, according to the preface, published as a scroll. The eighteen pages form one large sheet of 100 x 250 cm, in three groups of six below each other, summarizing the history of the world from the first day when God createdlight up to and including the year 1533.’
