Comments:

Nigel Roche (2000, page 31): ‘A small oval recutting was used in Antoine Du Verdier’s Prosopographie, printed at Lyons by Antoine Gryphe in 1573. The engraving is laterally-reversed and there are two compositors, but is otherwise unremarkable. The legend is ‘ARS TYPO | GRAPHICA’ in two lines.’

Louis Catherine Silvestre (1853) does not include this mark.
