Website: Richard Hicks (1922-2012) was a master woodworker who crafted the replicas of the Medieval and the Common or Bobcat presses in the Center for the Book.

The text on the head states: “Mediaeval wooden printing press made in the form that might have been used in 1450, the beginning time of printing. Handcrafted for the City of Albuquerque’s Center for the Book by Richard Hicks in the year of 1982.”
