Jane Siegel: Number 17 table model with wood frame, metal bed and platen, screw press, coil spring platen return. Bears maker’s plate “A RAMAGE NO 17”. Ralph Green wrote that number 17 should be dated ca. 1815-1820. Elsewhere in the files, this press is dated 1820-1825. From the American Type Founders Library. Belonged to the Franklin Typographical Society of New York until bought by ATF in 1925.
