Title: Menschelyke Beezigheden. Volume 1. Comments: At least five different engravings of this illustration were used in the 21 editions that were printed between 1695 and 1800. The appendices contain a preliminary bibliography and an overview of 21 illustrations. Eeghen and Kellen (1905) describe the illustrations. On page 265, this illustration has number 63. They state: ‘In number 1423, the second window on the right handside is divided into four. In this illustration, it has five.’ The titlepage states: ‘Bestaande in Regeering, Konsten en Ambachten, Na orde van het ABC, in honderd figuuren, Zinrijk uitgebeeld in koper geëst en gesneeden. Met veerzen, daartoe passende, door A.J. 1695.’ Under the illustration: T’Harlem. By Amb. Schevenhuysen.
