Comments:

At least five different engravings of this illustration were used in the 21 editions that were printed between 1695 and 1800. The appendices contain a preliminary bibliography and an overview of 21 illustrations.

Eeghen and Kellen state: ‘There are 3 volumes. Volume 1 was printed in 1699 in three editions. Volume 2 was printed in two editions, both in 1711. Volume 3 was published in 1711 (first and second printing) and 1733 (third printing).’ Page 413 mentions: ‘Volume 2 re-used print 69. Page 330 of Der Kupfferdrucker, copie no 21, Volume 2, no 34.’
